Co curricular Activities at Kripalu Balika Intermediate College

The curriculum is multi dimensional including an academic programme of high quality, wide range of co-curricular activities, a comprehensive programme of sports and physical culture, including education for social awareness and action. The students participate in music, dance, drama and debate competitions and wherever they go they make an impact. It is a point worth noting that in spite of the co-curricular calendar the school’s academic results are not affected
A child needs to develop in other areas of her personality apart from academics. Our students take pride in a jobs well done, however small it may be. The school provides a wealth of opportunities for extracurricular pursuits. Girls find their niche and at the same time enjoy exploring uncharted domains. In the process, without their being aware of it, a different aspect of their personality emerges and is honed.
A wide-range of extracurricular activities are carried out in KBIC. This provides every child an independent platform, where the child herself is able to explore the hidden talent within her. We see children as a source of energy and ideas and full of potential. Therefore, at KBIC participating in extra co-curricular activities is a regular features.

About Kripalu Balika Intermediate College

Established in 1978, KBIC is an all-girls day school for Classes VI - XII. The school is situated in Kunda, Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Kripalu Balika Intermediate College is recognised and affiliated with Madhyamik Shiksha Parishat, Uttar Pradesh. The school follows the course and curriculum set by Madhyamik Shiksha Parishat to ensure quality and disciplined education.


Kripalu Balika Intermediate College was established in 1978 in Kunda, District Pratapgarh. It was established with the purpose of imparting education to the girls in the area as there were no other schools for girls in the neighbourhood at that time.

JPK Education gets Nelson Mandela Peace Award

Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education has bagged the prestigious Nelson Mandela Peace Award for exceptional work in the field of education of the girl child.

The award consisting of a momento and citation of excellence was presented to Vishakha TripathiJagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education president, by parliament member Shripad Yesso Naik, who is former minister of state of home affairs in the central government, at a ceremony here, also attended by Goa Deputy Chief Minister Francis D Souza.

Organised by the Economic Growth Society of India, the award ceremony honoured various individuals and organisations for significant contribution in the field of economic and social growth of the nation.

Among others whose contributions were recognised were Ismail bin Haj Kassim, eminent speaker and motivational guru, spiritual healer and exponent in vibrational energy, as also Saurabh Garg whose efforts to create awareness about Thalassemia and social work was recognised and appreciated.

G.S. Sachdeva, general secretary of the Economic Growth Society of India, said the awards have been instituted with the goal of honouring individuals and organisations that have made selfless contribution towards the growth of India.

Specific mention of JKP Education was made in the pre-award national conference in which the speakers lauded the efforts of the institution in female education.

More than 5,000 girls from pre-primary to post-graduate level are receiving free education through institutions located in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to free education, girl students receive free transportation, including free bicycles for students who travel long distances, along with free uniforms, school bags, and other school-related requirements.

The aim is to remove any obstacle to the girl's education that is likely to be induced by poverty, said the institution guided by Tripathi.

The efforts of JKP education have been recognised in the past. It has received Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award, Nari Shakti Award of Jagran group, and Mother Teresa Excellence Award.

KBIC Class 12 Farewell

The students of class 11th organized a farewell party to bid adieu to the graduating class 12th students in the premises of Kripalu Balika Intermediate College. It was an emotional send off with sparks of light, music and dance.

A contest for selection of Miss. KBIC was also organised on the occasion wherein the aspirants were adjudged by a panel of judges. The process of overall observed.

Ms. Pragyan Shukla (12B) was adjudged Miss KBIC- Universe, followed by Ms. Sarika Mishra (12B) as Miss KBIC- World and Ms. Saumya Pandey (12B) as Miss KBIC- Asia Pacific.
